Founder- Anderson Back the Blue is a non-profit, founded to show support and appreciation to those in law enforcement who serve and protect us. Area media was always ready and willing to support our events, like Access Carolina and WYFF.

In 1988, I was contacted by an area mom with a problem. Changes in state laws about wheel size on wheelchairs were going to make it impossible for Carl, who has cerebral palsy, to navigate the bus aisle in his special wheelchair.  Our community and our dealership's team members went to work and raised the money to get Carl a new specialized, upfitted van that accomodated his chair, and he was able to keep attending school.

What an honor to serve on the board, chair, and co-chair black-tie fundraisers for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and to see firsthand the great work they do.

Vets Helping Vets Anderson is a non-profit that serves the needs of veterans without any cost to the recipients. I was honored to be asked to handle the PR for the groundbreaking of their new facility, and to emcee the ceremony.

A friend created an organization to assist the large number of children in the foster care system in Hall County, GA, and I was honored to be the chair of the event to raise money so that each and every child had the same kind of Christmas as their friends and classmates.

Our group restored a cemetery that was abandoned on 1912, and located descendents of some of those interred there, letting them know of their ancestor's identity and location of their grave. We also had groups of kids from area churches who were able to get introduced to area history with their particpation.

Founder- We raised money for recognition/appreciation events for the Hall County Sheriff's Office, the Gainesville City Police Department, and the local command post of The Georgia State Patrol

Following Hurricane Helene's devastation of South Carolina and North Carolina, we collected, organized and delivered food, clothing, shelter items, and medical supplies to some of the hardest-hit communities by truck, helicopter, and airplane.

I was twice honored to be a speaker at the Celebrate Special Families event, held at the Anderson, SC Civic Center. The event recognizes the efforts of the family members of those with special needs.

Despite having zero knowledge of cricket, I was invited to be the color announcer for the inaugural night cricket match in Anderson, SC. 

I've been honored to emcee some incredible concerts, like the Buford Jam, and introduce artists like Pat Travers, Mother's Finest, Molly Hatchet, Derek St. Holmes, The Georgia Satellites and more.

I've been honored to speak to several Historical Societies and other similar groups about my family and the role they played in developing our great nation.

It was always flattering to be invited to speak to business groups, like The City of Anderson Economic Development, about providing ways to help them grow and improve their operations.

I always enjoyed being asked to speak at political campaign events and rallies, and to be a part of our democratic system.
